I'm thrilled to be working with Con Todo Press on a collaboration for the release of their new children's book titled, How To Stuff a Piñata /Cómo Rellenar una Piñata, by Naibe Reynoso, illustrated by Ana Varela. How to Stuff a Piñata celebrates the popular Mexican tradition while delivering a heartwarming message about the importance of spending time and creating memories with loved ones. A follow up to How to Fold a Taco, this whimsical, bilingual book is also written in rhyme in both English and Spanish. Perfect for children ages 2-8. Publish day: April 18, 2024 - NATIONAL PINATA DAY I am excited to announce that I will be introducing a unique custom piñata, intricately designed to reflect the essence of the book. Additionally, there will be a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) piñata kit available for purchase alongside the book. As part of this exciting venture, I intend to accompany author Naibe Reynoso on her book tour, where I will conduct engaging piñata workshops for the community. Stay tuned for more information, including pre-order details for both the book and the delightful piñata. Get ready for a creative and immersive experience that combines literature and hands-on fun!

I'm thrilled to share that I'm in the midst of creating a captivating installation set to debut at the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert. The upcoming relaunch in March 2024 will showcase my latest additions, featuring Monarch butterfly and revamped hummingbird miniature piñatas. It brings me great joy to contribute to the community through my artwork, and I genuinely appreciate these wonderful opportunities. Keep an eye out for updates on the final installation – there's much more to come!
A pop-up community exhibition
Following the success of my "resilience c/s" installation at the Craft in America Center (Los Angeles) and "abundance c/s" at the Mingei International Museum (San Diego), that featured over 200 Monarch butterfly piñatas, I'm excited to turn this into an interactive community experience! With your support, I aim to fund pop-up installations in cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Fresno, San Diego, and more. |
